Domaine d'en Segur

These wines are from the middle terrace on the banks of the Agout river in the Tarn area the French Pyrenees, east of Toulouse. The terroir has alluvial deposits settled on several strata of sand and calcareous clay, topped with a fine layer of upper silt with quite a large amount of quartz gravel. The vineyard has been replanted with quality grape varieties such as Merlot and Syrah and local varieties like Braucol and Duras. We have sourced a number of wines from this supplier, including an excellent dessert wine and this unique red that is unavailable anywhere else in the UK.
